De twee grotten van Savonnières bevinden zich in de Franse gemeente Savonnières, vlak bij de RD 47, 15 kilometer ten westen van Tours in Frankrijk, een kilometer van het kasteel van Villandry.
Bernard Palissy ontdekte de eerste grot in 1547 en speleoloog M. Gilles ontdekte de tweede in 1947. Het was echter al veel eerder bekend, wat wordt bewezen door een inscriptie met het jaartal 1203. Er zijn ook Gallo-Romeinse graven gevonden. De kalkhoudende tufsteen die typisch is voor de regio, werd hier al in de 16e eeuw gedolven en sneed in de ondergrondse stroom die vandaag zichtbaar is.
