Als het centrale strand een beetje te druk is naar je zin, ga dan naar het zuidstrand van Lacanau! Om er te komen, kun je parkeren op een parkeerplaats iets verder naar achteren, of kom met de fiets, ook dat is vakantie! De toegang tot het strand gebeurt via een oversteekplaats op het duin, voorzien van roosters. Er is ook een voetgangerspad langs het strand, waarmee u vanaf het Centrale strand direct het Zuidstrand kunt bereiken, over een afstand van ongeveer 600 meter.
Op dit bewaakte strand kan iedereen zich zonder zorgen vermaken. Voor uw gemak zijn er verschillende faciliteiten zoals sanitaire voorzieningen en een grote fietsenstalling.
Dieren zijn tijdens de zomermaanden niet toegestaan op het strand.
