Verona ; Venetiaans: Verona of Veròna) is een stad aan de Adige in Veneto, Italië, met 258.031 inwoners. Het is een van de zeven provinciale hoofdsteden van de regio. Het is de grootste stadsgemeente in de regio en de op een na grootste in het noordoosten van Italië. Het metropolitane gebied van Verona beslaat een oppervlakte van 1.426 km2 en heeft een bevolking van 714.310 inwoners. Het is een van de belangrijkste toeristische bestemmingen in het noorden van Italië vanwege zijn artistiek erfgoed en verschillende jaarlijkse beurzen en shows, evenals het operaseizoen in de Arena, een oud Romeins amfitheater.
