De "Tonca" is een unieke jaarlijkse traditie in Trento, gehouden tijdens de Feste Vigiliane eind juni. Hierbij wordt een lokale politicus of publieke figuur in een kooi gestopt en in de rivier de Adige gedompeld als een humoristische straf voor vermeende misdaden. Dit evenement, onderdeel van het "Court of Penitence", is een satirische heropvoering van middeleeuwse straffen en dient als een luchtige manier om individuen ter verantwoording te roepen terwijl de beschermheilige van de stad, Saint Vigilio, wordt gevierd.
