Piazza Cavallotti is een herontwikkeld groen gebied dat de protagonist is van het voetgangerspad dat van Piazza dei Miracoli naar Piazza dei Cavalieri leidt en vervolgens doorgaat in de Via Dini naar Borgo. Het plein werd groter en groener gemaakt en het voetpad vebeterd om de Pisanen en toeristen die van de Via Santa Maria komen te verleiden om door het plein te gaan in plaats van het te omlopen zoals het eerder gebeurde.
