Deze route start in Bormio en gaat via alternatieve wegen naar het dorp Mazzo di Valtellina. Zo vermijden we de drukke SS38. Vanhieruit start een van de zwaarste beklimmingen. De loodzware Passo del Mortirolo (ook wel Passo di Foppa genoemd) met een lengte van 12.4km en gemiddelde van 10.5%. Een zware beproeving met pieken tot 18%. Van de top dalen we af en fietsen we naar Ponte di Legno. Hier start de beklimming Passo di Gavia. Een prachtige klim van 17.3km en een gemiddelde van 7.9%. Boven komen doe je aan het Lago Bianco. Van hieruit dalen we terug af naar Bormio.
