Chisinau of voluit Chișinău [kiʃi'nəʊ̯]? : Chișinău; Russisch: Кишинёв, Kisjinjov, ook getranslitereerd als Kisjinev) is de hoofdstad van Moldavië. De stad telde in 2012 667.600 inwoners. De stad telt vele onderwijsinstellingen en verschillende theaters en musea.
Bestuurlijk is Chisinau een gemeente - met stadstitel - en de hoofdplaats van de Moldavische bestuurlijke eenheid Chisinau.
