In Luttenberg staat een replica van de grot bij de Franse plaats Lourdes. De bouw van de grot in Luttenberg is te danken aan pastoor Petrus Butzelaar. Deze pastoor besloot, toen Paus Pius X begin deze eeuw de Sacramentsdag als katholieke feestdag afschafte, met een processie door het dorp deze traditie in ere te houden. Om de processie meer luister bij te zetten werd in 1915 langs het pad de Lourdesgrot gebouwd. De grotwand werd opgetrokken uit gaas, steen en cement, met een nis voor het Mariabeeld met rozenkrans. Tot 1962 vonden de processies in Luttenberg plaats met aan het eind van de processietocht als letterlijk en figuurlijk hoogtepunt de Lourdesgrot!
