Borger is een plaats in de provincie Drenthe. Borger ligt op de Hondsrug, in de gemeente Borger-Odoorn. Borger telde (volgens informatie van de gemeente Borger-Odoorn) op 1 januari 2006 4920 inwoners (2341 mannen en 2579 vrouwen).
Borger is bekend door het grootste hunebed van Nederland, de D27. In de omgeving van Borger zijn nog 5 andere hunebedden. Ook in Borger vlakbij het hunebed D27 is het nieuwe Hunebedcentrum gelegen. Hier vindt men veel informatie en historie over hunebedden in Nederland.
