Stramproy is een kerkdorp en voormalige gemeente in Nederlands-Limburg. In 1998 is de gemeente in het kader van de gemeentelijke herindeling opgeheven, en toegevoegd aan het grondgebied van Weert. De kern met het buitengebied telt per 1 januari 2021 5.105 inwoners.Stramproy ligt ongeveer vijf kilometer ten zuiden van de stadsrand van Weert, vlak aan de Belgische grens. De doorgaande weg door het dorp, die in het zuiden richting het Belgische Maaseik leidt, loopt in noordelijke richting tot aan het centrum van de stad. Tussen Weert en Stramproy ligt ook nog het kleinere kerkdorp Tungelroy .
