Het dorpje Hummelo is gelegen aan de N314 (Zutphen-Doetinchem). Het is bekend van o.a. Landgoed Enghuizen en van het tegenover de NH-kerk gelegen HCR 'De Gouden Karper', een van de oudste hotels in de Achterhoek.
Door de bosrijke omgeving is het een veel gekozen uitgangspunt voor wandel-en fietsroutes.
