Tussen Sittard en Geleen ligt het plaatsje Munstergeleen, hier werd op 11 december 1821 Joannes Andreas Houben geboren, beter bekend als Pater Karel van Sint Andries.
In 1954 is bij het geboortehuis aan de Geleenbeek de schuur ingericht tot kapel. Een plek waar je een bron van kracht kunt vinden, of voor een kort gebed of om een kaarsje aan te steken of om een wandeling in de tuin te maken.
Sinds oktober 2012 is er ook een museum en een winkeltje met religieuze artikelen gevestigd.
