Aan de zuidgrens van het Gooi ligt een van de laatste buitenplaatsen van Hilversum; Einde Gooi. Nadat een boerderij hier in 1852 afbrandde werd het huidige herenhuis, gecombineerd met een boerderij, gebouwd. Het complex ligt in het bos met in de nabijheid weilanden. Grote gebieden zijn afgegraven om er grasland van te maken. De boerderij is als een van de weinige in Hilversum nog volop in gebruik als veeteeltbedrijf.
