Tussen Rotterdam en Delft vind je Polder Noord-Kethel. Dit weidevogelreservaat biedt nu een plek aan oer-Hollandse vogels zoals grutto en kievit. Er loopt een onverhard wandelpad door dit gebied.
Als je in Polder Noord-Kethel om je heen kijkt, zie je veel 21e eeuwse bedrijvigheid; huisvesting, verkeer over water, land, door de lucht en economische bedrijvigheid.
In het broedseizoen (van 1 maart tot 1 juli) is Polder Noord-Kethel afgesloten om de rust voor de zeldzame weidevogels te bewaren.
