Het snelst stromende riviertje van Nederland zorgt voor één van de mooiste stukjes natuur in Nederland. De Geul meandert door een groen heuvellandschap, geflankeerd door wilgenbomen,
bloemenweides en nestelende vogels in overhangende takken. Ook eromheen is het tafereel lieflijk: vriendelijke heuvels, hoogstamgaarden vol bloesem of fruit en zo nu en dan duikt er een zwart-wit vakwerkhuis op in het landschap.
Wandelen is hier gewoonweg onovertroffen. Je volgt graspaadjes langs de Geul, loopt door holle wegen met dassenburchten en de hoogtemeters worden steevast beloond met een
jaloersmakend vijf-sterren-uitzicht.
