De zaalkerk Oud-Lemiers/Sint-Catharinakapel in de oude kern van Lemiers is een oude parochiekerk. De voormalige kapel, de huidige Catharinakerk, is een van de oudste bewaarde Romaanse zaalkerkjes. Gedeelten ervan dateren uit de zevende eeuw. Het grootste gedeelte van deze kerk stamt echter uit het begin van de twaalfde eeuw. De Catharinakapel heeft als slotkapel van Karel de Grote gefunctioneerd. In de jaren zeventig heeft schilder Hans Truijen de kapel met expressionistisch werk opgeknapt.
