Het geboortehuis van Hugo de Groot stond aan de Oude Langendijk tegenover het koor van de Nieuwe Kerk. Tegenwoordig bevindt zich hier de poort naar een binnenpleintje met de naam Huigh de Groothof. Het straatje in dit hofje heet Maria van Reigersberchstraat, naar Hugo's echtgenote. Naast de toegangspoort aan de Oude Langendijk hangt een plaquette die aan het geboortehuis herinnert.
