Als u het museum binnenkomt, gaat u meteen terug in de tijd. Karakteristieke scènes uit de oorlog worden in beeld gebracht en realistisch gereconstrueerd. Het museum heeft ook een indrukwekkende verzameling militaire objecten van zowel de bezettingsmacht als de Canadese bevrijders. Naast de objecten zijn er vele foto’s die de geallieerde operatie in het najaar van 1944 illustreren. Daarbij vochten de Canadezen tegen de Duitse bezetter om de monding van de Westerschelde te veroveren.
