Dit markant op de hoek met de Meerlaan gelegen pand is in 1685 gebouwd als boerenwoning annex uitspanning De Jonge Prins. Deze naam verwijst naar koning-stadhouder Willem III (1650-1702). Na de tot standkoming van de Bataafsche Republiek in 1795 kon de ‘Oranje-naam’ niet gehandhaafd blijven en gaf logementhouder Jan Groenewegen het pand de naam het Blesse Paard. De oorspronkelijke herberg bestond uit het herberggedeelte in het voorhuis (het huidige dwarshuis) en de boerenwoning in het bouwdeel erachter (haaks op het voorhuis) en verder uit twee hooibergen, twee stallen en een kolf- en kaatsbaan.
De hoofdvorm van het dwarshuis, dat uit twee bouwlagen en een schilddak bestaat, is het best bewaard gebleven.
