Pracht en rust
Dit gebied wordt begrensd door een omvangrijk stuifduinengebied. Grotendeels is dit in het verleden beplant met grove den. Vroeger werd het hout gebruikt als mijnhout.
Het bos is vooral rustgebied. Opvallend is de ongekende uitgestrektheid ervan. Behalve ruiters maken ook wandelaars en fietsers gebruik van de pracht en de rust van de Heldense bossen.
