Een plek die zo stil is dat je de koeien hoort grazen, vind je niet veel meer in Nederland. De Coendersborg heeft als bijzonderheid dat het bijbehorende landgoed is aangelegd op strekkende heerden, lange ontginningskavels direct achter een boerderij, waardoor het landgoed drie kilometer diep het land inloopt. Zo raak je al wandelend ver af van wegen en geluiden. Hoewel je eigenlijk in een rechte lijn loopt kom je op de route steeds in andere sferen.
