The Algonquin Hotel is a historic hotel located at 59 West 44th Street in Manhattan (New York, New York). The hotel has been designated as a New York City Historic Landmark.
The movie "Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle", starring Jennifer Jason Leigh as the writer Dorothy Parker, takes place in the Algonquin Hotel. Mrs. Parker was an original member of the Algonquin Round Table, a group of writers, actors and critics that met almost daily from 1919-1929 at the hotel.
