De Charlestown High Bridge overspande de Charles River in Boston, Massachusetts, en maakte deel uit van I-93/US 1 aan het noordelijke einde van de Central Artery.
Deze dubbele dek trussbrug, gebouwd in 1954, was oorspronkelijk bedoeld om I-95 door Boston te dragen van zuidwest naar noordost in samenhang met de Tobin Bridge, gebouwd in 1950. Het I-95-project en verschillende andere snelwegprojecten in en rond Boston, waaronder zowel de zeer controversiële Inner Belt als de Southwest Corridor, die de bestemming van de route moesten voltooien om I-95 van Providence, RI, naar Boston te brengen, werden geannuleerd vanwege zware publieke tegenstand in de vroege jaren '70. I-93 mocht in 1969 worden voltooid van de Yankee Division Highway tot de voet van de Charlestown High Bridge, en de I-93-aanduiding werd in de vroege jaren '70 op de brug en de Central Artery verlengd.
