Det kommunale område ligger i den øvre dal af Gurk-floden inden for Nock-bjergkæden. I nord fører vejen fra Feldkirchen op til Turracher Höhe-passet og Turracher See i en højde af 1.763 m AA på grænsen til Predlitz-Turrach i Steiermark og længere ned i Mur-dalen. En anden lille bjergsø er Falkertsee i 1.872 m mod vest. Reichenau er den østlige endestation af Nockalmstraße, en naturskøn rute gennem Nock-bjergene til Krems.
