Tidligere gik man til kirken ad en vidunderligt smuk lindelund. Men mangel på vedligeholdelse og skader fra stormvind har påført lunden store skader; den blev genopbygget og omplantet i 2009. Den første sten til kirken blev lagt i 1750. Klokketårnet, i neoromansk stil, stammer fra 1899. Den kendte organist M. van Peteghem byggede orgelet i 1864.
