Universitetet Gent eller UGent er et universitet i Belgien, beliggende i den østflamske by Gent. Universiteter blev grundlagt under Kong Willem I, som et resultat af hans politik for at udbedre den intellektuelle efterslæb i syd i hans Forenede Kongerige Holland, det senere Belgien. Ligesom de nordlige Nederlande fik de sydlige Nederlande tre riksuniversiteter: i Gent, Leuven og Liège.
