Hvem husker ikke bøgerne af Ernest Claes? De blev i 1969-1972 omdannet til den enormt populære tv-serie 'Vi, Herrer fra Zichem'. I baggrunden af statue står Klosteret for Annonciade Søstre, hvor bl.a. Mor Cent (spillet af Jenny Thange), født Rosalia-Catharina Van Inthout, professet som Maria Hyacintha (1851-1916), en meget energisk person og stifter af Den Frie Skole for Annonciade Søstre, levede og arbejdede i 1873.
