I den nordlige del af Hainaut, lige ved grænsen til provinsen Namur, er der bygget et stort dæmningskompleks på, blandt andet, den lille bæk Eau d'Heure. Således er en række reservoirer blevet til, meget ujævne på grund af det bølgende terræn på bunden. Dette har gjort det muligt at løse en række vandforvaltningsproblemer, men man har også udnyttet dette sted til at gøre det til et rekreativt paradis. For at forhindre dannelse af mudrede strande er der bygget tre for-dæmningsdiger: Falemprise (226 m), Ri Jaune (252 m) og Féronval (142 m).
