Neuhausen er kendt for turistattraktionen Rheinfall, som deles med kommunen Laufen-Uhwiesen. Andre nabokommuner er Flurlingen, Feuerthalen, Schaffhausen, Beringen samt den tyske kommune Jestetten. Mod syd løber grænsen mellem Tyskland og Schweiz.
Nordvestligt ligger senderen Neuhausen am Rheinfall. Et par hundrede meter syd for dette ligger Galgenbuck, en udsigtsrig bakketop.
