Holzen er en kommune i den nordlige del af Landkreis Holzminden i Niedersachsen og tilhører samkommunen Eschershausen-Stadtoldendorf. Holzen ligger ved skæringspunktet mellem højdeområderne Ith og Hils. Stedet består af to lokaliteter, landsbyen Holzen og Holzen-Ith.
Spor af bosættelse fra stenalderen og offerritualer er blevet fundet i hulerne omkring Holzen. Genstande fra Rothesteinhulen samt en rekonstruktion af huleindgangen er udstillet på Landesmuseum Hannover.
