Barth er en by i Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Tyskland. Den ligger ved en lagune af Østersøen med udsigt til Fischland-Darss-Zingst-halvøen. Barth tilhører distriktet Vorpommern-Rügen. Det ligger tæt på Nationalparken Vestpommerns Laguneområde. I 2011 havde den en befolkning på 8.706.
Barth går tilbage til den middelalderlige tyske Ostsiedlung, før området blev beboet af venderne fra Liutice- eller Rani-stammen. Jaromar II, dansk prins af Rügen, gav byen Lübecker ret i 1255. I det samme dokument blev han enige om at fjerne sin borg, Borgwall eller Neue Burg, der dengang lå i den nordvestlige del af byens planlagte grænser. En anden venderborg, Alte Burg nær den nuværende station, blev ikke længere brugt. Den tyske by blev anlagt på tom plads mellem borgene. Byen var ikke medlem af Hanseforbundet og voksede aldrig til den vigtighed og størrelse som de nærliggende hanseatiske byer såsom Stralsund. Den sidste prins af Rügen, Witzlaw III, opførte en gård på stedet af den tidligere Neue Burg i 1315. Han opholdt sig ofte i Barth.
