Niddatalsperre dæmper floden Nidda og den anden tilløbsbane Läunsbach ved den vestlige kant af Vogelsbergen. Dæksøen har et areal på omkring 65 hektar. Den ligger i Vogelsbergkreis nær og på området for byen Schotten i Hessen.
Niddatalsperre – bygget fra 1968 til 1970 – ejes af vandforbundet NIDDA med hovedkontor i Friedberg og tjener primært til oversvømmelsessikring og lavvandsopfyldning i Nidda under lavvandede perioder. Dæmningen tjener desuden også til elproduktion fra vandkraft samt til rekreation og turisme.
