Kirken Sainte-Foy ligger på pladsen Sainte-Foy, i enden af boulevard Président-Carnot, ved siden af stationsbygningen i Agen, i Lot-et-Garonne.
Efter forfølgelsernes dekret den 28. februar 303 blev den hellige Foy martyr i 303, sandsynligvis den 6. oktober, dagen for hendes fest, efter at hun havde stået foran tribunalet for Dacien, romersk prokonsul under kejser Maximianus' regering. Efter hende led hendes søster den hellige Alberte, den hellige Caprais og andre kristne indbyggere i byen, nær 500, som kom for at dele martyrens skæbne.
