Einer der Orte, an denen man dachte, das Panel der Gerechten Richter zu finden, war das Geraard Duivelsteen. Es wird vermutet, dass das Panel an einem öffentlichen Ort versteckt wurde, nachdem es gestohlen worden war. Da dies einer der öffentlichen Orte in der Nähe von St. Bavo war und genauer gesagt sehr nahe an der Veyt-Kapelle, wo sich damals das Lamm Gottes befand, wurde dieses Gebäude mehrmals durchsucht. Der "unbekannte Schlüssel", den man in der Wohnung von A. Goedertier (dem Hauptverdächtigen des Diebstahls) fand, passte jedoch nicht zu einer der Türen dieses Gebäudes.
