Die Soor ist ein unbefahrbarer Fluss, der an dem Ort Duret entspringt, einem Teil des Moorgebiets Fagne des Deux-Séries, wo der Boden hart und torffrei ist. Dieses Moorgebiet ist Teil des mehr als 4000 ha großen Naturschutzgebiets Hohe Venen. Die Soor plätschert in zahlreichen Kurven durch den Hertogenwald und mündet, ein paar Kilometer südlich von Eupen, mit der Hill.
