Gelegen in der Mitte des Dorfes Houtave, an der Ecke der Dorpsstraat, jetzt Kerkhofstraat und der Zakstraat, finden wir das Café 'Drie Koningen'. Die Gaststätte war sicher schon im Laufe des 17. Jahrhunderts geöffnet und war mit dem heutigen 'Travalie' und 'Muziekantje' ebenfalls ein Hof. Während und nach der Französischen Revolution diente die Gaststätte zunächst auch als Gemeindehaus, wobei anzumerken ist, dass Houtave Hauptort des Kantons war, des Départements Leie, zu dem auch Blankenberge gehörte. Die Gaststätte war der Schauplatz der Verfilmung der VTM-Serie 'De Kavijaks'.
