In Tervuren steht das Königliche Museum für Zentralafrika mit einem Teichpark, dem ehemaligen Jagdgebiet der Herzöge von Brabant in der Nähe des Zonienwaldes. Durch Tervuren fließt der Fluss Voer, nach dem die Gemeinde ihren Namen hat.
Darüber hinaus gibt es noch einige Sehenswürdigkeiten in Tervuren:
Die Sint-Jan-Evangelistkirche, die im dreizehnten Jahrhundert erbaut wurde. Bemerkenswert ist das Fehlen eines Turms, der 1777 aus Stabilitätsgründen abgerissen wurde.
Im Park des Königlichen Museums für Zentralafrika steht der dickste Mammutbaum Flanderns.
Das Geografische Arboretum, das etwa 100 ha groß ist, wurde ab 1902 von König Leopold II. angelegt. Die Bäume sind nicht nach Geschlecht, sondern nach natürlichem Umfeld geordnet. Es ist jetzt ein wunderschöner Teil der Natur im Zonienwald.
