Nieuwrode ist ein Stadtteil der Gemeinde Holsbeek, gelegen in der Provinz Vlaams-Brabant. Nieuwrode war bis zur kommunalen Neugliederung von 1977 eine selbstständige Gemeinde. Das Dorf entstand im 12. Jahrhundert. Die erste Kirche oder Kapelle wurde im Gebiet der Herren von Schoonhoven erbaut. Die Pfarrei Nieuwrode war bis 1239 eine quarta capella der Mutterkirche von Sint-Pieters-Rode.
