Hof, im 14. Jahrhundert auch genannt Hof ter Paelt und im 15. Jahrhundert Ter Beke nach dem nahegelegenen Paeltbeek, modo Zennekensbeek. Ebenso wie die Kleine Krankenhoeve und die "Neue Krankhoeve (siehe Bonheiden) ein Besitz des Krankenhauses der Mecheler Begijnen und wegen der weitläufigen Ackerflächen in Peulis, Bonheiden und Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Waver als "Große Krankhoeve" bezeichnet; wann das Gut in den Besitz der Begijnen kam, ist nicht bekannt, aber der Hof wird bereits in ihren ältesten erhaltenen Zinsbüchern von 1340 erwähnt.
