Im südlichen Condroz, oberhalb des Naturschutzgebiets von Marie-Mouchon, gelegen, besteht die Anlage aus einer Kette von 5 Teichen, die innerhalb des Cresses-Waldes liegen. Diese Gewässer gehören der Gemeinde Ciney und werden relativ extensiv für die Angelfischerei genutzt. Einige von ihnen weisen eine interessante Vegetation auf, insbesondere Röhricht- und Schilfränder sowie Wasserpflanzenbestände. Der obere Teich, der regelmäßig trocken gelegt wird, zeigt Expositionen von entwässerten Schlickgebieten. Dieser gehört zum Naturschutzgebiet der Ychippe-Ebene, ebenso wie einige benachbarte kleine Parzellen.
