Der Wassergraben, der einst die deutschen Panzer aufhalten sollte, ist heute voll von Wasserlebewesen. Die verlassenen Bunker sind das ständige Winterquartier der Großohrfledermäuse. Die Antitankgracht und der angrenzende Haachts Broek sind ein schönes Wandergebiet mit Brücken und Promenaden. Hier hat man immer noch das Gefühl, dass man sich hoffnungslos verlaufen kann. Hier und da stößt man auf eine Herde großer Weidetiere, die Freiflächen bieten, die von Schmetterlingen und anderen Insekten aufgesucht werden.

Achtung: in Haachts Broek sind hohe Stiefel erforderlich.
