Brunsbüttel [ˈbrʊnsbʏtl] ist eine Industrie- und Hafenstadt im Kreis Dithmarschen von Schleswig-Holstein. Brunsbüttel liegt an der Mündung des Nord-Ostsee-Kanals in die Elbe und ist Standort des bedeutendsten Seehafens an der Westküste des nördlichsten Bundeslandes. Die Kleinstadt ist vor allem bekannt durch das inzwischen stillgelegte Kernkraftwerk Brunsbüttel und die Schleusenanlagen des Nord-Ostsee-Kanals, der meistbefahrenen künstlichen Wasserstraße der Welt.
