Wülfrath-Düssel nach Velbert-Neviges
Wir beginnen die Etappe in Düssel und haben schnell das hochromantische Tal des Holzer Bachs erreicht. Eine wahre Perle des neanderland STEIGs ist dieser Wegabschnitt. Schnell haben wir die Höhe bei Wülfrath und die Alte Kölnische Landstraße erreicht.
Wir unterqueren die Autobahn 535 und gehen durch einen schönen Wald hinauf zur Düssel-Quelle. Von dort sind noch zwei Täler zu durchschreiten, dann stehen wir auf einem Bergsporn neben der Ruine von Burg Hardenberg - es sind nur noch Erdwälle zu sehen.
Es geht hinunter in die Pilgerstadt Velbert-Neviges mit vielen Einkehrmöglichkeiten, dem Pilgerdom aus Beton, Schloss Hardenberg und vor allem dem legendären Minigolfplatz der “Hardenberg Pötter”, den vielfachen deutschen Minigolf-Meistern.
