Zweite Etappe von 65 km des Camino del Cid. Die Etappe von Burgos nach Covarrubias ist Teil der Route El Destierro (Der Exil), dem nördlichsten Teil des 360 km langen Camino del Cid, der von Vivar del Cid nach Atienza führt.
Hügelig parcours (ca. 620 Höhenmeter), aber nirgendwo wirklich schwer. Unterwegs das Kloster San Pedro de Cardeña, in dem jahrhundertelang der Körper von El Cid begraben lag.
