Die Kirche wurde in der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts (ab 1855) von dem Architekten Henri Bach für die Jesuiten erbaut. Sie ist im neogotischen Stil erbaut, bemalt und reich verziert, mit Glasfenstern von L. V Gesta. Die 1864 erbaute und 1972 als historisches Monument klassifizierte Orgel ist ein Meisterwerk des berühmten Orgelbauers Cavaillé-Coll. Kenner werden die 24 Register schätzen, die auf zwei Manualklaviaturen und ein Pedalwerk verteilt sind. Die Kirche ist außerhalb von Veranstaltungen für die Öffentlichkeit geschlossen.
