Hopesay ist ein kleines Dorf und eine Bürgergemeinde im Süden von Shropshire, England. Die Bevölkerung der Gemeinde betrug bei der Volkszählung 2011 561.
Der Name 'Hopesay' stammt von "Hope de Say", dem Tal von Picot de Say, einem normannischen Baron, der das Manor des benachbarten Sibdon Carwood besaß und dessen Machtbasis die nahegelegene Clun Castle war. Obwohl der größte Teil des normannischen Einflusses verloren gegangen ist, stammt der Kirchturm aus normannischer Zeit.
