Das Augustinerkloster Murrisk, gelegen im County Mayo, Irland, wurde 1457 auf Land gegründet, das Thady O'Malley zur Verfügung gestellt hatte, von Hugh O'Malley des Klosters Banada im County Sligo, der von Callixtus III. die Erlaubnis erhielt, eine Kirche und ein Priorat in Croagh Patrick zu errichten, weil "die Bewohner dieser Gegend bisher in ihrem Glauben nicht unterrichtet wurden.". Das Kloster wurde an dem Ort errichtet, der als der ursprüngliche Standort der von St. Patrick gegründeten Kirche gilt.
