Das Spencer-Monument ist ein restauriertes Obelisk-Denkmal auf dem Weg nach Valletta, in Blata l-Bajda, Malta, das für Kapitän Sir Robert Cavendish Spencer, R.N., einen Vetter des Gouverneurs von Malta, Sir Frederick Cavendish Ponsonby, errichtet wurde.
Sir Robert Cavendish Spencer wurde im Familiensitz der Spencers in Althorp, Northamptonshire, geboren, als Sohn des 2. Earls Spencer und Lavinia, Gräfin Spencer. Er diente von 1827 bis 1828 als persönlicher Sekretär von König Wilhelm IV. und wurde für seine Verdienste zum Ritter geschlagen. Er hatte eine angesehene Karriere in der Royal Navy und war bei den Männern, die er kommandierte, sehr beliebt.
