Neer ist ein Kirchdorf im niederländischen Mittel-Limburg. Es gehört zur Gemeinde Leudal. Vor der Gemeindereform von 2007 gehörte es zur damaligen Gemeinde Roggel und Neer. Das Dorf liegt an der Maas, zwischen Roermond und Venlo.
In der römischen Zeit, entlang der Heerstraße Maastricht-Nijmegen, entstand die erste feste Besiedlung. Die Durchkreuzung dieser Heerstraße mit der Neerbeek, damals ein Fluss, ist noch im Landschaftsbild sichtbar. Das Dorf selbst entstand im frühen Mittelalter.
