Diese Route ist in den Veenkoloniën im Nordosten der Niederlande festgelegt. Die Route führt größtenteils durch die Hochmoore im Osten der Provinzen Groningen und Drenthe und teilweise über den Hondsrug.
Die Motorradtour beginnt und endet auf dem Parkplatz beim NS-Bahnhof in Coevorden.
Diese Motorradtour ist Teil einer Reihe von 16 Motorradtouren, die für alle gedacht sind, die ein Auge für (die Entstehung des) niederländischen Landschaft haben.
In den Niederlanden können 6 Landschaften unterschieden werden: Lösslandschaft, Sandlandschaft, Flusslandschaft, Moorlandschaft, Seekleilandschaft und Dünenlandschaft. Die unterschieden Landschaften werden durch 16 Motorradtouren erkundet, die zahlreiche landschaftliche und historische Sehenswürdigkeiten/Wissenswertes erwähnen.
Für diejenigen, die mehr über die in den Routen genannten Sehenswürdigkeiten/Wissenswertes erfahren wollen, sind die Routen auch in Buchform erhältlich.
